Setup Guide (Under 10 Minutes)
Create your OrderWitness account
Free plan at app.orderwitness.com/auth/signup. Select "E-commerce" as your business type during onboarding.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Shopify
Enter your store URL (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com). You will need to generate a Custom App in Shopify Admin → Apps → Develop apps.
Create a Shopify Custom App with API access
In Shopify Admin → Apps → Develop apps → Create an app. Grant permissions: read_orders, write_orders, read_products. Copy the Admin API access token and paste it into OrderWitness.
Add the OrderWitness webhook in Shopify
In Shopify Admin → Settings → Notifications → Webhooks, add a new webhook for Order creation. Use the webhook URL provided in OrderWitness integration settings. Format: JSON.
Sync products and connect WhatsApp
Click "Sync Products from Shopify" — OrderWitness imports your catalog. Then connect your WhatsApp Business number in Settings → WhatsApp. Done.
Test it: After setup, place a test COD order on your Shopify store using a real phone number. Within 30 seconds you should see the order appear in OrderWitness with a fraud score, and a WhatsApp confirmation should arrive on that number.

What Happens Per Risk Score Level
🟢 Score 0–30: Low Risk
Confirmation sent, customer verified, order auto-approved. Ship immediately after customer taps YES.
🟡 Score 31–59: Medium Risk
Confirmation sent + optional prepaid offer (EasyPaisa/JazzCash). Order held until response received.
🔴 Score 60–79: High Risk
Order automatically held in dashboard. Alert sent to you. Manual review required before confirmation message is sent.
⛔ Score 80+: Critical Risk
Order auto-cancelled (configurable). Never ships. Customer not notified. Zero cost to you.
Shopify vs WooCommerce: Does It Matter?
For OrderWitness, the platform is irrelevant once the webhook is connected. Both Shopify and WooCommerce send order data in JSON format — OrderWitness normalises it and applies the same fraud scoring, confirmation, and evidence pipeline to both.
